Are you planning to attend high school or college in the United States but are concerned your English is not strong enough? Accel Academy offers English Language Programs for non-native speakers.
The program is divided into three areas of focus:
Student ESL for middle school and high school students
TOEFL preparation
Business ESL for adults
All classes are geared toward proficiency in many aspects of English through building integrated skills, but each focus area has its own specific objectives and levels designed to meet the diverse needs of our students.
Accel serves as a bridge to enrollment in a full-curriculum, private U.S. middle school or high school.
Accel is a unique language enrichment center that helps ESL students acclimate to a new society by allowing them to concentrate on strengthening their English first, before enduring the rigors of a regular middle or high school. These intensive courses focus on the English language skills necessary to succeed in academic subject areas such as science, math and history, as well as teaching about American culture.
Accel Academy offers an intensive TOEFL and college preparatory program for post-secondary
foreign students who wish to attend college or graduate school in the United States. Upon completion of this program, students will be prepared to understand and fulfill college-level course requirements, communicate with native speakers of English, and take the TOEFL college entrance exam.
Varying levels of instruction, from Beginner to Advanced, prepare adults with different needs to communicate and interact successfully in American society.
International students develop their listening, speaking, and reading skills through exposure to the many facets of American culture. Accel's small classes instruct students in everything from life skills to business writing. Qualified students are prepared for and administered the Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC).
Accel Academy has been authorized by Federal law to enroll international students since 1996. As of January 2003, we are further authorized to utilize the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) for this purpose.
Foreign students must meet specific requirements to get and maintain the student (F-1) visa. For further information regarding F-1 visas or I-20 Certificates of Eligibility
